Dimitris Voulgaris is a grandaunt masters student in Regional and Urban Planning Studies program at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), with main research interests and academic publications on geography of crime, urban futures as well as policies of development for the Metropolitan area of London. He holds a bachelor’s degree on Geography from the University of the Aegean, major in Human Geography and Geoinformatics as well. In October 2016, Dimitris joined the “ΚΡΙΣΕΙΣ” team at the Economic Geography, Regional Development and Territorial Planning Laboratory at University of the Aegean.
He has worked as geospatial data controller for the Greek Ministry of Reconstruction of Production, Environment & Energy and also as researcher on projects related to the geographies of innovation and regional development in the UK at the Centre for Regional Economic and Enterprise Development (CREED) at Sheffield University Management School. Moreover, in 2015 he carried through with the geographic customer analysis for the official representative of Coral Gas in Lesvos Island, while in 2014 he participated in projects by the Developmental of Messenia.
