The Regional AI Hackathon Albania 2025 is a forward-thinking initiative that brings together young talents, researchers, and entrepreneurs from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Kosovo*. It empowers the youth of the Western Balkans and their diaspora to co-create, innovate, and develop AI-driven solutions that fuel digital transformation and address shared regional challenges. This Hackathon is a call for all motivated young people to participate, collaborate, and shape a smarter, more inclusive future
for our region through the power of Artificial Intelligence.

The Regional AI Hackathon Albania 2025 is a two-phase innovation initiative that empowers young talents, researchers, and professionals to develop AI-driven solutions with real social impact. Through a preparatory Bootcamp and a high-energy Hackathon in November 2025, participants collaborate across disciplines to tackle key challenges in areas like healthcare, smart cities, education, and sustainability.
This initiative is more than a technology competition—it’s a strategic investment in the future of innovation and talent in Albania and the region. By connecting emerging innovators with cutting-edge tools, expert mentorship, and collaborative opportunities, this action aims to:
Through this two-phase model—Bootcamp and Hackathon—participants don’t just compete; they co-create, learn, and lead the way toward a smarter, more inclusive digital future.
An intensive and collaborative training and ideation program, where participants receive mentoring, refine their ideas, form interdisciplinary teams, and get hands-on experience in applying AI technologies to real-world challenges.
A high-energy, competitive innovation event, where teams prototype and pitch their AI solutions. The Hackathon will bring together young innovators, professionals, and experts to co-create applications that tackle pressing societal, environmental, and economic issues.
