Sustainability Hackathon

The Sustainability Hackathon will be the second open innovation action aimed at community and business activation to create innovative applications that contribute through technology and digitization to the goals of sustainability, education and entrepreneurship. The Sustainability Hackathon will take place on April 15-16-17, hybridly, physical at Innovathens (100 Pireaus str., Gkazi) and remotelly with digital tools! Applications will be open until April 14, 2022!

On Tuesday, March 22, 2022, the Open Day of the Sustainability Hackathon was completed with great success, which was carried out remotely using video conferencing tools.

The Open Day was attended by over 150 participants, Startup companies, developers, researchers, students, professionals, business executives, executives from the private and wider public sector and in general anyone interested in learning about global trends, digital transformation and the marathon innovation.

We invite any interested individual, team or company to participate in the competition:

By developing innovative methodologies and applications that address these issues (participants - contestants).

By proposing issues or challenges related to the digital transformation of Sustainability that need a solution and by developing an application to tackle them (public submission of proposals - consultation).

Supporting this effort (mentors, sponsors, supporters, public organizations, companies, collective entities).

OBJECTIVES

Sustainability Hackathon has the following main objectives:

Creating a culture of innovation and collaborations within the organization.

Supporting youth and innovative entrepreneurship, opportunities for young people, combating unemployment.

Support to the local economy, as competitors from all over Greece will be able to participate, who can then set up their own business.

Highlighting smart and innovative solutions to the problems and challenges that concern both the themes of the campaign and the citizens who deal with related issues.

Improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the campaign, utilizing new emerging technologies.

Connecting the campaign with the technological innovation and entrepreneurship community of our country.

Creating an ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship in the field of sustainability.

  • Citizen education applications for good environmental protection practices
  • Creating solutions for smart educational programs for the cyclical use of resources within companies and public bodies

  • Utilization of Virtual and Augmented Reality (VR / AR) technologies for the exchange of good practices
  • Utilization of digital tools for the organization of mentoring processes between citizens, businesses and public bodies
  • Creating city lab applications on 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs)

  • Resource reuse and waste management

ANTIVIRUS CROWDHACKATHON 4KIDS

Along with the innovation marathon, we will be holding online creativity competitions for children and pupils, starting with a painting and crafts competition on #stayhome.

PRIZES

Cash prizes are provided for the winning teams. For all participants there will be opportunities for networking and collaborations with the participating organizations.

Lidl Hellas will offer gift cards to each member of the first 3 winning teams

Participation in a acceleration program support for 5 months
