Infinitech Hackathon,
26 & 27 January 2023, Hybrid
The Infinitech hackathon is one of the open innovation actions in the context of the “Infinitech Project”, implementing the Infinitech Way.
This is the 3rd Hackathon organized under the Infinitech project, and it will be a hybrid event (provided that COVID measures will remain as they are today).
The aim of the hackathon is to create original applications for the promotion of digital transformation around financial technologies, through new innovative ideas in various areas of public and partner interest, with the main goal of promoting advances in the financial sector.
It will be a 2-day innovation hackathon event, with 2 competition streams:
Stream 1: Coding
Developers (either individually or in teams) will have the opportunity to build their own assets and contribute to Infinitech’s Marketplace
Stream 2: Business
Teams will have the opportunity to build new business models and find scalable solutions to Infinitech’s pilots.
Through the action, the creative human capital of the innovation ecosystem is mobilized, the creation and the youth entrepreneurship as well as the collaborations are strengthened, the experience and the know-how of the executives of the institution are utilized and the innovation is promoted.
At the Infinitech Hackathon, engineers, programmers, economists, analysts, business people and in general anyone who has an idea on issues related to Fintech and is interested in developing it in a complete application will be able to participate. The direction of team building will be strengthened, as well as collaborations with external participants, such as professionals, academics, researchers or students.
The Infinitech Hackathon will take place hybridly on 26 & 27 of January 2023 at Startup Piraeus (Antipliarchou Panagioti Vlachakou 38-40, Pireas 185 45)

We invite any interested individual, team or company to participate in the competition. You can participate in the hackathon either by working on the software development stream (coding) to develop tools and products, or on the business stream to enhance existing business models or create new ones.
By developing innovative methodologies and applications that address these issues (participants - contestants).
Supporting this effort (mentors, sponsors, supporters, public organizations, companies, collective entities).
OBJECTIVES
The Infinitech Hackathon has the following objectives:
Highlighting smart and innovative solutions to the issues and challenges concerning both the marathon thematic areas and the citizens dealing with related issues.
Connecting the campaign with the technological innovation and entrepreneurship community of Europe.
Creating an ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship in the field of fintech and related technologies.
Supporting the local economy, as people from all over Europe will be able to participate, who can then set up their own business.
Supporting youth and innovative entrepreneurship, providing opportunities for young people, combating unemployment and brain drain.
Creating a culture of innovation and cooperation to achieve a global and common goal: democratizing financial advances.
